Our Minky Story

Made by our Family for Your Family

The Minky Supply Company is a family based business that started in the basement of the Duff family. As we grew, we expanded to include more families in and around the Idaho Falls area. All of our seamstresses are local gals that wanted to do something to help their families financially while still having a flexible enough schedule to still be there for those who need them most. We believe that people work with us, not for us. Every blanket, burp cloth, taggie, and lovey is handmade by one of our team who we all feel are members of the minky family. The design for each product is unique and original, with the pattern coming straight from our imagination to your home.

Tiffani and Scott Duff

Tiffani and Scott's story with minky started as every story with fabric does; in the fabric store. Tiffani found a minky long plush camo and couldn't leave the store without it. When she got home, she now had to make something with it. The first pillowcase was made and gifted to their son Sawyer, but then the rest of the family wanted in on the minky love. Soon more pillowcases followed and then morphed into minky blankets. 10 years and many craft fairs spanning across Idaho, Wyoming and Utah later, The Minky Supply Company was finally ready to be started.

Minky Care Instructions

Machine wash in warm or cold water. Putting heat on the blanket will melt the blanket's material together and your blanket will lose its softness. We recommend using regular liquid or powder detergent when washing. Pods are not recommended to use on your blankets. NO fabric softener. Minky Blanket fibers are very fine. If the blanket is washed with fabric softener, the water isn't strong enough to pull out the softener. It will get trapped between the fibers and harden when it dries, leaving your blanket feeling crusty. Hang it to dry, then put it in the dryer on an AIR setting only to fluff it up. Again, there can't be any heat or it will melt the material. Dryer sheets are okay to use.
